The real use of operation research method in conjunction with logistics Cross-Docking technology
Dvořáková, Alžběta ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the real use of operation research method in conjunction with logistics Cross-Docking technology. It is possible to solve this conjunction with either routing problems along with its modifications or simulations methods. The theoretical part describes routing problems, routing problems with time windows, simulations methods with their possibilities of real use and logistics technologies. A model of a Cross-Docking terminal that was created in the program Simul8 can be found in the practical part of this thesis. The goal of the simulation was to ensure smooth flow of products through the terminal without any long queues in the terminal. Routing problems designed to minimize the length of its routes can be found in the second half of the practical part. Other possible real application is routing problems on the real problem. The solution for this task was found using the modelling system MPL for Windows.
Possibility of linking optimization models with logistics technologies
Vrbická, Jitka ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Fiala, Petr (referee)
This thesis focuses on linking optimization model of mixed linear programming with logistics technologies. To achieve the objective, the thesis is divided into two sections. The first section provides the necessary theory on linear programming and logistics. The second part focuses on the optimization model itself and its connection with the method JIT. This section also describes the application created in MS Excel spreadsheet, which then solves the issue. The application is linked with optimization softwares Lingo and MPL for Windows. The thesis conclusion demonstrates functionality of the application on an illustrative example and the optimization programs are compared based on the observed data. Based on the collected data, we can say that the optimization model is a suitable tool for the optimization of supply chains.
Possibilities of using selected logistics technologies and methods in the chosen company
MILÁČEK, Vít
This bachelor thesis investigates possibilities of using selected logistics technologies and methods in the manufacturing company Meta Skladovací Technika, s.r.o. It is focused on the material and information flows, including analysis of key factors for successful implementation of selected technologies and logistics management approaches. In the thesis are used data obtained through structured interviews, direct participant observation and data processing from the operating records of enterprise applications. The work describes the processes within the investigated subject before the introduction of selected approaches and after their introduction, including a comparison of relevant indicators. Carrying out the research, it was found that some of the logistics activities in the organization do not run optimally. Generated solutions recommend the introduction of a number of logistics methods, which lead to lower costs and increase the competitiveness and profitability of the company.
Logistics technologies as a factor of overcoming the economic recession
Riedlbauchová, Marie ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Grabmuller, Rene (referee)
In years 2008-2010 the main wave of global economic crisis took place. This crises have hit both industry and trade with negative impact on the demand for logistics services and technologies. The aim of this Master's Thesis is to find the answer on question if and which logistics technologies can moderate the impacts of crisis. Thesis is focused on the Czech Republic and on the logistics service providers. Beside that it summarizes knowledge gained from crisis period from all related fields and branches of economy. In the first part the thesis summarizes knowledge concerning logistics and related operations, logistics technologies, logistics providers and outsourcing. The second part deals with the development of industry, trade, transport and logistics in the Czech Republic. It inquires what contributed to the success or failure of the logistics providers, in which assets they invested and what was the demand for their services. The proper strategy in logistics for the period of recession is proposed on the basis of uncovered facts both for logistics providers and their customers.
Storage inside the Logistics System in Company Foxconn CZ
Lízálková, Jana ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Gottfried, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of the Diploma work is to design the storage system inside the logistics system of the company Foxconn CZ. To achieve this goal it is necessary to theoretically define the main terms concerning integrated logistics chain, describe the function and localization of warehouses, describe the most often used warehouse equipment, handling equipment and logistics technologies. Closer acquaintance with company Foxconn CZ allowed us to understand its strategy. Based on collected and analyzed inputs concerning production and warehouses in newly built building the appropriate ways of storing reflecting the specific requirements of individual storage locations was designed. Based on evaluation of aspects of the proposed options the most appropriate way of storing was recommended.
Application of logistic technology in contracts for automotive industry
TESAŘ, Petr
The point of this bachelor thesis was to find a way, how are aplicated the logistic technologies in chosen organisation ISOBAST s.r.o., which produces and works on products from expanded plastics and plastics, mostly for automotive industry. Today company uses the emancipatory strategy JIT. In the light of how big the company is and how produces, we can suggest of using another logistic technology {--} Kanban or EQM. Each of this technologies has its advantages and disadvantages. As advantage we can consider a simplification of logistic processes which causes increase of produktivity. Proper implementation of logistic technologies decreases time costs, storage costs, order and transport costs. During starting this process some troubles should show up, because founding new technologie is connected with high training costs and new identification facilities costs. The next disadvantage of some technologies is higher transportation load and negative influence on enviroment. Because of continual increase in numbers of competitors is necessary to monitore the evolution and technological progress
Application of Lean Management components at company
SRBENÁ, Michaela
The aim of my diploma thesis was an analysis of production processes with regard to the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and concept of appropriate measures for improvement. In the theoretical part I describe Logistics Technologies and different elements of Lean Production. In the second part of thesis I describe practical implementation of certain methods of Lean Manufacturing, namely the method of Kanban and 5S. In conclusion, the work evaluates the overall effectiveness of the newly implemented system .
Supply chain management in L´Oréal Czech Republic
Šenkýřová, Kateřina ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Macíček, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis Supply chain management in L'Oréal Czech republic describes and analyses the supply chain of the company. The objective is to define weaknesses of the chain and outline future projects. It analyses the utilization of logistic technologies such as EDI communication, VMI and ECR. In the practical part it focuses in forecasting process in the company. The work suggests new processes and defines parameters that should lead to better results when planning future sales.
